Your data.
Your recovery.
This policy covers the Nexus Backups personal utility and this information website.
Purpose
Nexus Backups is a privately operated recovery utility. It does not offer public account registration.
Data access and use
The utility uses Google's drive.file permission to manage app-created or explicitly selected files. It processes encrypted archives and file metadata only to store backups, verify uploads, check restoration, and manage retention.
Storage and security
Selected application data is encrypted locally before upload to Google Drive. Recovery keys and credentials are excluded from archives. Connection credentials are stored in macOS Keychain. Restore checks and status records remain local. Google may process file metadata when providing storage.
Sharing
The utility sends encrypted archives and necessary metadata to Google Drive. It does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, send it to AI providers, or use it to train AI models.
Its use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Backups are retained according to the configured recovery policy. Eligible expired archives are moved to Google Drive Trash. The utility does not empty Trash. Users may remove backup files and local records themselves. Disconnecting the utility does not delete existing backups.
Control
Access can be revoked through Google Account connections. Revocation prevents future Drive operations until authorization is granted again.
This website
This website has no upload form, app sign-in, advertising, or app-added analytics. The hosting provider may process ordinary request information to serve and protect the website. No backup data or credentials are sent here.
